AMY DAVIS BIO blah blah blah…. Born in Strong Island New York in 1968 and raised in the JAZZ world by Benny Goodman Trumpeter MEL DAVIS and quintessential sit-com MOM, RUTHIE DAVIS, Amy got her rocks off by chilling in her GARFIELD sleeping bag and watching UNDERDOG and JEM and the HOLOGRAMS. Amy was weened on BURGER KING and Day-Glo AIR-BRUSHED sweatshirts. In 1980, she won the NEW YORK NEWSDAY drawing contest at age 12 with her winged unicorn or horned pegasus… SANS IRONY. It was then that the nihilsm set in, coupled with extreme ambition, narcissism and general spazziness. In 1990, she graduated from The RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL of DESIGN with a B.F.A in ILLUSTRATION and a really bad Lulu Brooks ‘do. It was during that fateful year that she started her glitter-dusted, fake-blood-spattered underground film acting career by starring in “ENFANT TERRIBLE” JON MORITSUGU‘s SUNDANCE HIT, “MY DEGENERATION.” She refused to go to the FEST cuz of ARTISTIC INTEGRITY and that BAD hair cut. She went on to star in all of MORITSUGU’s features and made the biggest splash as LONDON, the blonde teen virgin queen, in MOD FUCK EXPLOSION. MORITSUGU dug her wacky mode and let her STYLE MOD FUCK as well as all of his subsequent flicks. During the filming in San Francisco, she fell in love with him (and vice versa), and they got married. In 1996, she was discovered by Kim Hastreiter, publisher of PAPER MAGAZINE, and was gifted with an illustrated fashion column called STYLE FIENDS that ran for a decade. After splitting Frsico for HONOLULU, Amy landed a gig at LeSportsac doing a limited ARTIST EDITION line called “BACKSTAGE.” She went on to do 5 more designs for them (which are still being bought and sold by rabid fans on eBAY). She bounced to Seattle from Hawai’i and landed in Santa Fe chowing on chile and inhaling pinon smoke. Her work has been shown at DEITCH PROJECTS and HOLLY SOLOMON in NYC, COLETTE  in PARIS, THE MAYOR GALLERY in LONDON, and a show curated by PURPLE FASHION at MoMA PS 1 called WINTER OF LOVE + many more. She started doing soundtrack work with MORITSUGU for his films in the early 90s. They are now the LoFI, GLAM-CRUSTED, GARAGE ROCK band LOW ON HIGH, with two albums out and work beginning on a third.

Amy has worked for NINE WEST, CHANEL, HARD CANDY, EMILY THE STRANGE, URBAN DECAY, REEBOK, BEAMS (Japan).

She has been published in SEVENTEEN, ELLE GIRL (Korea), COSMOGIRL and more.

The NEW YORK TIMES, THE VILLAGE VOICE , SASSY(remember them!??), HONOLULU STAR-BULLETIN and many more have done stories on her.

AUSTRALIAN FEMALE UNDERGROUND ILLUSTRATION book CURVY featured her in their #4 issue. FASHION ILLUSTRATION NOW by LAIRD BORELLI, FASHION DRAWING by Michele Wesen Bryant and PAPER 20 YEARS of STYLE are a few books she is in.

In 2010 she bullied MORITSUGU into letting her make movies with him and thusly, they created the feature film, PIG DEATH MACHINE, which she got to produce, write, co-direct, style and star in. They are now a filmmaking team.

THERE IS WAY MORE BUT REALLY ENOUGH YO… Oh yeah  In 2011, she and MORITSUGU directed and styled a music video for TV ON THE RADIO’s song, NO FUTURE SHOCK, that was nominated for a GRAMMY and even had a cameo by  MICHAEL MUSTO! Alas …they lost (WHAT EVER to YOU FOO FIGHTERS!!!) but had lotsa yummy food in LA. If you really want more info and bikini shots, go to >>>
